Matt Ball

Senior associate - Strategy and campaigns - London, UK

Matt has more than 20 years’ experience in communications, campaigns and policy roles.

After delivering different multi-union campaigns he became director of the trade union network Unions 21.

Matt then embarked on a career with the Community trade union, rising to be the union’s director of communications and external relations: leading their rebrand, growing their media profile, and engaging a wider range of audiences as the union's membership grew and diversified.

Matt is a communications and policy associate, with extensive experience helping non-profit organisations improve their communications and influencing strategies.

For Agenda, Matt recently conducted a communications review for The Henry Smith Charity, providing recommendations on increasing their communications capacity and a plan for the year ahead.

He is currently supporting the Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK to increase their membership and helping the Wales Centre for Public Policy to shape their content towards target audiences.

Matt lives with his family in East London and spends his spare time cycling or singing with the Natural Voices choir – performing all over the city from local charity fundraisers to the Tower of London.
