An expert people leader with strategic marketing, digital and brand experience, Rachel's skills lie in brand and digital change so business goals are met and key audiences come out on top.
As associate director of digital and creative at the University of Sussex, she sat on the senior leadership team of a 200-strong communications, engagement and advancement division, where she led a digital transformation programme which engaged over 1,000 stakeholders and external partners, and co-led the university’s 2025 rebrand to align with a new 10-year strategy.
Previously, as director of marketing and communications at education charity Teach First, she led marketing, brand, creative and digital functions and strengthened the charity's fundraising marketing approach to significantly increase supporter engagement and brand recognition.
Rachel is a huge people person, both in her professional and personal life and she gets a lot of her energy from the friendships she has been lucky to keep from all stages of life. Her two adventurous kids and bouncy labrador Gilbert keep her pretty busy. When she is not working or ferrying them from one social activity to another, you can find her Brighton sea swimming (only in the summer!), walking in the South Downs, chasing sunshine and planning the next trip and reading (and drinking wine) with brilliant book club women.
