In Conversation With... Alison Goldsworthy

Alison Goldsworthy is a political and communications advisor and co-author of Poles Apart: Why People Turn Against Each Other and How to Bring Them Together. She'll be in conversation with Becky Slack in this special event with the Lucidity Network.

If you’ve ever had a difficult conversation on social media, this event is for you.

Becky Slack will be ‘In conversation with...’ Alison Goldsworthy, political and communications advisor and co-author of Poles Apart: Why People Turn Against Each Other, and How to Bring Them Together.

As Poles Apart sets out, humans are social animals, naturally driven to form close-knit groups. All too often, though, these groups become partisan. They start to compete with one another. They become mutually hostile. Why does this happen? And what can be done to counter the tendency?

Join us to explore the answers to those questions and much more.

Questions can be submitted in advance (email them to becky.slack@your-agenda.com) and during the live discussion.

The main discussion with Alison Goldsworthy will last for one hour. Guests are then invited to stay on for an informal book club discussion with other members of the Lucidity Network Business Book Club.

When: Monday 15 May 2023, 7.30pm-9.30pm (GMT)
Where: Zoom
Cost: £12
