Becky Slack will be ‘In conversation with...’ Patrick Nash, serial social entrepreneur and author of Creating Social Enterprise: My story and what I learned.
Social enterprises are businesses that are changing the world for the better. If you work for an organisation that fits this description, want to work for one, or want to launch your own or are just interesting in business, this event is for you.
Leading and managing social enterprises is not an easy task. Delivering big ambitions with often tiny budgets, dealing with the day-to-day while trying to deliver visionary change – there's much to navigate and get wrong. But also much to learn and celebrate.
Patrick Nash knows all about getting it wrong – he's made loads of mistakes throughout his career. He’s also done a lot right. He has built enterprises working in vegetarian food, ecological builsingbuilding, schools, teachers’ mental health, and helplines that support for people in challenging circumstances. Along the way he’s learnt from and experimented with new ideas and concepts and created a huge amount of social value.
He will be sharing many of these experiences and learning with Becky Slack on 11 September, and you are invited to join the conversation.
Questions can be submitted in advance (email them to becky.slack@your-agenda.com) and during the live discussion.
