Agenda

July monthly round-up

It might be summer holidays, but the work doesn't stop for Agenda. In July, we helped launch an international website, took deep-dives into CRM and digital channels, and considered how to catch the attention of the press and politicians.

We're delighted to have guided Nautilus International through the requirements gathering, tender process, implementation and launch of its brand new website. Designed around members' needs across the UK, Netherlands and Switzerland, the site has a clean, modern look packed with advice and information for seafarers.

Plan, plan, plan: that's our advice for any organisation wanting to find a new CRM and website supplier. We've helped NIPSA colleagues map out their processes from member recruitment to policy and campaigns, from case work to elections and conferences as part of our thorough and accurate requirements gathering exercise.

What are journalists looking for in a story? How can you craft a compelling pitch that will attract their attention? Our co-director and media communications strategist Becky Slack welcomed colleagues from across civil society organisations to a workshop aimed at sharpening their PR skills.

Unions must find the right digital tools to interact with their members, but it’s even more important to understand what you want to achieve through your digital engagement. We kicked off a project with a group of BALPA reps to explore what they need to do in their roles to support members.

A change of government means a change of relationships. We’ve been talking to Society of Radiographers colleagues about how to frame their priorities, so they resonate with new ministers while also highlighting that the UK still needs more radiographers.

Our PR specialist Catherine Cooper secured important coverage for Tree of Hope charity, which supports families fundraising for essential medical treatment, including slots on BBC channels, Good Morning Britain, and regional news outlets.

At Agenda, we encourage clients to plan for the worse rather than hope for the best when it comes to reputation management. Join Becky at our crisis comms online workshop on Wednesday 23 September to get your plan in place. Find out more and book your seat here
