Monthly round up

We dived into March with election planning, influential stories and our new Comms Lab offer.

Every month we look back on what our clients have achieved and what we’ve been working on; here’s a round-up:

Manifesto Launch

We’re delighted to support the Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR) in developing its manifesto which launched in Parliament with Tomia Antoniazzi MP. With nine in 10 NHS patients seen by a radiography professional, the SoR has five election asks to tackle the current shortfall in staff – around pay, an immediate recruitment plan, excellent training, safety and a properly funded health and social care system.

Workshop

And talking of elections, @Matt Ball ran a session for Unions 21 on ‘Influencing and engaging ahead of the election’ considering how to reach politicians and members before and after the EU and UK elections to secure influence and grow union activism.

 Social media content

Throughout the month Gesher School shared their expertise, taking part in important discussions about SEND Provision at Westminster, raising their team’s voices and using big events like World Book Day and Science Week to celebrate the Gesher way and highlight children’s achievements. All of which was turned into engaging social media content by our associate @Sarah Younger

Comms recruitment

Our work with the European Food Banks Federation continues. The action-oriented communications strategy is well under way and we’re close to finding a new communications manager who can lead them to success as part of our new recruitment offer.

PR coverage

Two marathon runners raising money for children with rare genetic conditions were part of the regional PR coverage Catherine Cooper secured for the charity The Tree of Hope.

European team meeting

We enjoyed a rare opportunity to get the European members of the Agenda team together in person: Becky Slack, who lives in Gent; Shamik Das who splits his time between Brussels and London; and Paulina Lainez Miccolo who lives in Madrid, plus a guest appearance from former Agenda associate @Megan. Much creative thinking and laughing occurred as we plotted out our work in the EU. Keep your eye on our socials for the details.

Communications Research

Understanding the narratives driving public understanding of important social issues, such as war, racism, and climate change, is a key focus of Becky’s at the moment. She has been conducting media and political analysis, comparing frames and reviewing academic research to learn more about how our clients can effectively influence public discourse.
